Back home in Cali...
So I made it back to good ole' California! I already miss Taiwan and everyone I met there...good times, good times! Minna and I tried to find any excuse we could use to stay in Taiwan for just a little bit longer. Obviously it didn't work out. It's a good thing we didn't, considering all the airline trouble we would have to go through if we did. God has a reason for everything.
Thank you all for praying for the trip and for those children!!! It was amazing to see the Lord work in such a powerful way. It's an experience I will never forget. Remember the two little boys I told you about in the last post? The day after I posted Alex, the Buddhist boy who wanted to become a Christian, came in saying that his parents gave him their permission for him to except Christ as his Savior!!! We were all completely surprised. His parents were said to be devout Buddhist so we really didn't expect them to allow it. Alex was eager to except Christ and he seems to be completely sincere. Someone donated a tiny Chinese Bible for him to start his new walk off on the right foot. There is no greater joy in the world than seeing someone, especially a little one, come to except Christ into their life.
Then there's Jake...my little boy who has an abusive mom. He's the cutest thing. He has the craziest funniest personality out of any kids his age that I know. He is a hand full at times, or should I say most of the time but he sure knows how to get to your heart with his little jokes and by giving you "the eyes".
Towards the end of our time with the children, the program director gave her testimony of her life. Through tears she shared with the kids how God had brought her from a life of pain and hurt to freedom in Him. As I looked around the room I couldn't believe my eyes, every single eye was fixed on her. That in itself is a miracle.
She asked for any child, who wanted to decide right then to forgive anyone who may have hurt them, to stand up and place their hand over their heart. I looked over and saw little Jake stand up, place his hand over his heart, and with tears streaming down his face he asked God to heal his heart and chose to forgive his mom. I couldn't help but have tears rolling down my cheeks.
They dismissed the classes but allowed any of the children who wanted prayer to stay and pray with an adult in the back. I saw little Jake and his older sister go to the back and pray. Both of them crying. You can just see the pain in their faces. My heart was so heavy as I prayed that God would save these little ones and do something incredible with their lives. After praying I looked up and saw Minna there, both of our faces wet with tears. That moment will be forever etched in my memory as a place where God met us!!

My lil' bud Jake!

Told you he's a character

The whole group of the last week. Each week we would have almost an entire new group of kids. See if you can find Minna and me .

Most of the American team...it's soo dark.

Slightly better pic of everyone minus four guys. This was taken here in Cali before the trip.

And another one...
There are around 2,000 pics to go through and choose which ones to post. I'll be gone for a couple days (life never seems to slow down) but when I get back I'll have a bunch more pics of the fun stuff we did and the fascinating places we visited. Until then...
